UPSIDE DOWN is a world of its
own. The stage is like a small theatre. On it appears
Kaiello, an extravagant character. He starts showing the
audience his quaint tricks.
It is Pipolina's duty to assist
him, but she seems not always to understand - or to want
to understand - what he wants. This destabilizes the
whole performance. Kaiello's well practiced numbers take
a completely new and unexpected course through Pipolina's
influence. Kaiello is irritated at first, realizes then
that not all is lost, and finally comes to the conclusion
that these variations have their merits, too!
Pipolina discovers that
Kaiello's ideas are really quite funny and thus tries,
still in her own way, to be helpful.
An old grammophone gives the
rhythm to:
Upside-down strolls, serenade
for little feet on a rope, head without shoulders, flying
hats, shrill songs, excentric dances and much
more.
Play without words.
Duration 90 minutes, no break
